Would You Still Love Me In The Morning?

But I don't care what they say,
I'm in love with you,
They try to pull me away,
But they don't know the truth,
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing.

You cut me open and I...
Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love,
I keep bleeding, I keep keep bleeding love,
Keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding love,
You cut me open.

Meh, I'm being random.
So happen this song is running on the playlist.
Hence, the randomness.

On another note...

...the blog has reached 10,000 visitors!
After a very long time.

Pfft, whatever.
I'm awesome like that. = )

I have updates, but sadly Streamyx regressed just as I thought it had gone back to almost normal speed.
So, this is gonna be a short update before the very long update which will come tomorrow if Streamyx is being nice.

This week has been rather a lazy week, if you want to put it that way.
I've been doing nothing but be a couch potato.
It's movie after movie, and more Prison Break.
Looking forward to Thursday; and Harvest Crew is sending over a group for missions trip to Malacca's Kampung Jus for a 2 day missions.
It should be comparatively easy in terms of itinerary compared to previous trips.
Nevertheless, still looking forward to it. = )

Speaking of which, I did some dabbling on my facebook yesterday.
And this is what happened...

Photobucket

The picture's probably too small, but if you look carefully...
I became a celebrity overnight.
It's funny though, how everyone is so very busy with their own lives and then news like this appears and everyone suddenly becomes so...concerned?
I find it rather hilarious actually. = D

The last time I tried a hoax with a friend, we generated quite a lot of attention.
Hakeem's comment was probably the funniest, what about him not knowing I was a celebrity.
Ironic isn't it? = )

This thought me something...
That people are naturally kei poh? (Not really, but that too. xD)
I have this habit of messaging people whenever I see emo shoutouts on Facebook.
Perhaps it's an in-built God-given characteristic, cause I cannot just ignore people who are down and are going through a tough time.

This was perhaps some sort of a wake up call for me.
I need to be there more, stop being a lousy friend, and hopefully not be so negligent when it comes to friends around me.
My weakness...=X

Okay, I'm ranting already.
Await my updates.
Will be here soon. = )

~ What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. [Philippians 3:8]

Oh The Wonderful Cross...

Firstly, I wanna thank God for answering my prayers.
I'm probably gonna work with Uncle Gideon as part of an internship in a direct audit position.
For me, the upcoming 3 months will prove essential in determining what I really wanna do, and give me valuable insight into the world of auditing.
God continues to be faithful in opening the right doors, and all that's left is my studies to be settled...which will be in a matter of time.
Every breath every single day is a sign of God's faithfulness, and I'm glad that my future's in His hands.
Nobody else can guarantee it, but the Heavenly Father. = )

Just before we go into the actual updates, I thought this video is really sweet.
So, prepare for a dose of sugar rush. = )

So lets get straight to the updates shall we?
Recently, celebrated Uncle Gideon's (dad's brother, mind you) birthday.
So, he invited us to have dinner at Seaview Restaurant, on the way to SS2.
Pictures, as below. = )

Photobucket
Their famous 'Sang Har Meen' or more appropriately..."Tiger Prawn Noodles".

Photobucket
Not sure what this is, but it's pork. Very tasty, but sorry peeps. Tak halal. No offence intended.

Photobucket
Bean Curd (tofu) with bitter gourd, if I'm not mistaken.

Photobucket
'Kampung' chicken.

Photobucket
Meh, no idea what this is called. It just tastes yummy, kapish? xD

Photobucket
Steamed Red Garupa. Trust me, there's a lot of meat...but the price you pay; makes you think twice.

Photobucket
Longan with sea cucumber for dessert. = )

Photobucket
Uncle Gideon (the birthday boy), lil Danielle, and Aunt Dorene.

Photobucket
From L-R: Second aunty, First aunty, and First aunty's husband. Hahaha!

Photobucket
From L-R: Mum, Andrew, and the grandparents.

Photobucket
Dad and myself. I bet dad didn't know this was gonna go on the blog. xD

Excuse all the candid shots.
I had quite a number of camera shy people there.
And since everyone was busy enjoying the wonderful spread before us, it was all I could do.

Anyway, moving on.
Nic's college had some sort of sponsorship thingy by Campus Plus, and they were offered free tickets to watch I Love You, Beth Cooper at Cineleisure.
So, I met up with her and her bunch of crazy friends for dinner and headed for a movie.
Rained cats and dogs just before I left house, resulting in me having to change my clothes and having to slog through the rush hour jam.
Nevertheless, it was all good.
Had dinner at The Apartment; my first time too. = )

Photobucket
Chicken and Mushroom Spaghetti.

Photobucket
Thank you for the invites. = D

After the movie, dropped her back home before ending the day.
Meh, time for movie reviews.

Photobucket
I Love You, Beth Cooper.

To be honest, I wouldn't really have paid to watch this. But, since I had free tickets...what the heck. = ) It was pretty average, but nothing really spectacular. Compared to how Hayden Panettiere acted in the Heroes series, she was way more wild here compared to her previous role in Heroes. A good change I'd say, though she certainly has the looks to pull it off.

Thank God for good company. = )

Verdict: 5/10

Photobucket
Punisher: War Zone.

I haven't heard much about the movie except through the trailer. I had a comment that the storyline kinda sucked. True to that, a whole lot of blood, gore, and flying limbs but nothing much to the plot. Was disappointing, but then again...I guess you could say I was prepared for it.

Verdict: 6/10

Photobucket
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.

One word: HORRIBLE. Seriously, I don't know why Kristin Kreuk would even consider starring in this movie. The plot and storyline straightaway gets a double thumbs down immediately. The progress of the story seriously just became...an EPIC failure. Meh, even Kristin Kreuk couldn't save this movie I'd say.

Verdict: 3/10 (Yes, even with Kristin in it. Only saving grace is...well, her).

Photobucket
Watchmen.

I guess you could say the trailer for this movie was pretty deceiving. It's definitely not your typical hero fighting action-packed movie that you'd expect. A lot of story-telling and flash backs to the past. A pretty long movie, but again...thankful that I didn't pay money to catch this on the big screens.

Verdict: 5/10

So, that's about it I suppose.
I've noticed that the movies I've been catching haven't been up to standard.
Meh, I need to catch G.I. Joe, like seriously.
Outdated much.
I'm off to catch the remaining movies I have on the laptop.
Or maybe I'll just stick to finishing my anime.
Till my next post, this is goodbye.

Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone

Good day!
Matt decided to drop by to update on what has been going on.
It's been one heck of a week in one sense.
I'm actually feeling pretty sleepy due to me sleeping at 3.30am the night before, but well it was worth every minute.

This week has been rather productive as well.
Hopefully things will be more settled sooner or later and God-willing, things will be settled by this coming week.
Lets begin with the updates shall we?

Wednesday, 12th August 2009
Met up with mei after a very long long time of not meeting up.
We went to our favorite joint again.
Where else?
Starbucks!

Photobucket
Meh, caught on candid mode. xD

Photobucket
Mmm, hot coffee and breakfast on a rainy day. Bliss...

Photobucket
Mei insisted on pictures from certain angles. Meh...

Thursday 13th August 2009
Supposed to meet up with Nic for her lunch hour break.
Went to Centerpoint to get her lunch, and my car broke down.
Then, coffee got spilled on the way to pick her.
And one thing just came after another.
Eventful, but unfortunately no pictures.
I don't think you'd wanna see smoke coming out from my car bonnet anyway. = )

Meh, in the end...we rushed through lunch and got to meet up for only 20 minutes or so?
But I learned a very important lesson, or rather I was reminded...
That when things happen, you can either choose to be the victim, or you'd look up to God and say "Thank You Lord. There's a lesson for me to learn. Teach me."
And I'm glad I chose the latter. = )

Friday, 14th August 2009
Went for an accessment and interview at KPMG.
I was having butterflies in my stomach for some reason.
Perhaps because it was my first real professional interview, sorta.
It was a good experience, especially being interviewed by their HR manager (who happened to be a foreigner) which was even more intimidating.

Photobucket
KPMG's front desk.

Photobucket
Random snapshot. I like their office. = )

At night, went for Bob Fitts concert at GTPJ.
Worship was just surreal.
The word 'refreshing' would be an understatement.
I guess God knew I needed a refresher to keep me going.
Moreover, most of his songs (in fact, all of 'em) I knew and it was just awesome.
After which the whole lot of us went off for Hokkien mee and supper.

Photobucket
A small part of the auditorium.

Photobucket
Matt and Carmen.

Photobucket
Matt and Brandon. Meh, excuse the face. No idea why I forgot to smile. xD

Photobucket
Matt and Claudia. I just realized that dad's smiling in the background. Hahaha!

Photobucket
Pastor Vincent starting the whole thing off.

Photobucket
Bob Fitts!!! Rawr!

Photobucket
Worship led by Bob Fitts with the GTPJ band.

It was definitely a night to remember.
God was awesome and I thank God.
It was really encouraging, and God's love just felt so uber real.
Anyway, after supper...
Reached back and had a phone call till 3am in the morning.
Meh...
Me likey late night phone calls. <33

~ ...teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. [Matthew 28:20]

PS: Perhaps I should really stop trying to make everyone happy. There will be people who'll never like me. I should just accept it...

When Destiny Beckons...

Lengthy post ahead!

Something I've learned from Rev Issac Joe on Sunday.
It was a clear reminder and a mind-provoking thought that I'd like to throw to everyone of you.

Sleep, Eat, Work...
Sleep again, eat again, then head back to work...
And the cycle repeats itself.

Now here's the question.
Ever wondered what your real purpose in life is?

To sleep, eat, and work everyday and repeat the cycle is to EXIST.
But to live everyday with a God-given purpose in life is to LIVE.
To live everyday with an assurance of an eternal destination is to HOPE.
And to live with an eternal destiny is to FULFILL.

When it hit me that I've just seen 21 years of my life pass me by, it gave me a sense of urgency.
To be driven more than ever to reach out and tell people about the most wonderful person in life, my dear Jesus.
No, I'm not ashamed of the gospel.
Why?

...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. [Romans 10:9]

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. [Romans 10:13]

And when time is of the essence, life is so short, and the world crumbles in hopelessness and despair...
I'd want people to look up and know that there is hope in Him...to share this hope and joy that I've found in Him.

Haha, I'm getting carried away.
But urgency continues to burn within me, and life's mission is ever so compelling.
I refuse to just sit around and watch, not when I carry the best news there ever will be and the hope of glory and salvation in me.
Call me whatever you want to, but God's love compels me to reach out.

God loves you, even if nobody else does!
Best thing to get through everyday knowing someone does. = )

Okay.
Now we'll move on to updates.
So, here we go...

1. Peng Cheng's 21st Birthday Celebration @ 1st August 2009
His actual birthday was on the 4th, but he had his party on a Saturday at his place.
The food spread before us was...yums.
Met up with many high school classmates and schoolmates.
Made some new friends and had a blast.

Photobucket
Our table.

Photobucket
Red wine frenzy. Meh, I look tipsy. Again explains why I look bad in photos. Clockwise from top: Jack, Lee Ping,Kenneth, and yours truly.

Photobucket
DJ-ians are wacky people, but that's why we're cool like that. = )

Photobucket
With the birthday boy.

Photobucket
Feeding the birthday boy BBQ-ed marshmallows.

Photobucket
Apparently they couldn't get enough of the marshmallows.

Photobucket
Birthday face? xD

Photobucket
Candid shot.

Photobucket
From L-R: Dennis, Jack, Jian Sheng, yours truly, Peng Cheng, Yu Han, and Kenneth. Rawr! DJ-ians for life.

Photobucket
This was when the red wine really started kicking in. Lala post galore. No idea why I'm even posting this up. No more macho image or perception already.

Photobucket
The birthday boy.

I didn't stay in time for the cake cutting ceremony though.
Rushed off early.
Here's the link for more photos; some of which I refuse to post up due to me looking like a ding dong.
Happy 21st PC!
Thanks for the great party. = )
Picture credits go to those involved.
Can't remember who took which.

2. Random meet up @ 4th August 2009
Went off to SS2 to pick up Julian and Lerida for a meet up.
Surprising Lerry was probably the funniest part of the whole thing.
Picked them up and we headed to Murni's for dinner/supper.

Photobucket
Meh, glorious food.

Photobucket
Julian, the initiator of the meet up.

Photobucket

Photobucket
A very happily choked Jules. Meh...

Photobucket
Matt and Lerrrryyyyyy. Picture credit to Jules.

He had his DSLR.
Rawr!
Hence, there were random pictures being snapped.
Some too candid to reveal.
But, here's the link on facebook for further info.

3. Random sleepover at Brandon's from 7th-8th August 2009
It was a long awaited sleepover I promised but could not fulfill till now.
Stayed up and had a good chat throughout.
I'll let the random pictures do the talking...

Photobucket
Pfft, bad angle for me.

Photobucket
Meh...

Photobucket
The Chai Siblings.

Photobucket
Smile for the camera.

Photobucket
That crooked smile I loathed. Ugh...

4. Victor's Birthday and Movie Outing @ 9th August 2009
After church, the youth decided to head to Secret Recipe, 1U to celebrate Victor's birthday.
So we headed off after lunch, stayed to chill out with him.
Then I headed off to pick her up.
We caught the Proposal (second time for me) since she hasn't watched it.
So, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Photobucket
Victor about to blow out the candles.

Photobucket
Chocolate Indulgence.

Photobucket
Lil ding dongs fooling around.

Photobucket
Happy Birthday Vic!

Didn't get to snap pictures of the rest.
They were camera shy and refused to be included in the pictures.
Meh...

Photobucket
Dinner @ Subway's.

Photobucket
Thanks for the treat you! = )

Photobucket
Heylo!

Photobucket
Guess who again? *grins*

So that's about it for my very long updates.
Looking forward to another eventful week ahead.
EPL is beginning this weekend.
Hopeful of catching up with some action.
Things need to be settled and sorted out by this week as well.

Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness.
Continue to guide and lead my every step. = )

More than a nice melody

More than the sweetest of words
This is the love I have found
And in this love I am found

I just want You, Jesus
I just want You, my Lord
I just want You, Jesus
I just want You...

Never could I comprehend
The love You so freely give
Never could I be worthy
But Your love covers all of my sins

There is no greater love than Yours
Nothing else could ever compare
And even if I searched all the world
I would never find a love like Yours
