Love Unconditionally, Live Fully...

You know those moments when it's raining, and a strange calming effect envelops you amidst the thunder and noises that accompanies a storm?
Right now, just sitting here...I can think and enjoy some peace.

I came across a line from a friend's blogpost listing down the 30 most satisfying simple pleasures of life.
Glancing through one by one, I came by this...

27. Holding Hands with Someone You Love
Every time she grabs your hand you are overcome with an awareness of how much she means to you. Holding hands is sensual and physically intimate, yet subtle. There are few people you allow to hold your hand, so when it happens you can be sure that the moment is special.

This sentence means different things to different people.
But I realized, how many times I've taken forgranted the many times that I was given the opportunity to hold the person's hands whom you hold so dear to your heart.
I think life is unpredictable and crazy at times, but more so over the past few months.
You start to wonder if people valued relationships at all sometimes.

It's been a torrid season to see people going through what seems to be the ultimate storm.
'Rogue waves' that are 20 feet high hits us once in a while in life and literally breaks and decimates the boat of life and not just merely 'rock the boat'.
Perhaps experiencing it helps me to emphatize with the people affected.

My heart goes out to the people who have had their hearts broken.
Reasons may be legitimate, and intentions may have been for good...
But sometimes, it's not the reasons that we're looking for.
It's merely the question that accompanies the reason..."What happened to talking it out and working things through?"

Perhaps it's another reason why love is so misunderstood.
If love is merely another word to be thrown around, then why have wedding vows?
My heart breaks to see people I know breakdown from a broken relationship.
Only the love of Christ which is perfect and unconditional in nature can mend broken hearts, teach a person to love the unlovable, and to love others and expect nothing in return not because someone else deserves it, but because Christ loved us first.

To all you heartbreakers out there, try putting yourself in the other person's shoes.
Some people deserve more than just your sympathy...

Because some people...actually accept and love you for who you are, not for what you've done.
