The Rules

Link to your tagger and post these rules.List eight (8) random facts about yourself.Tag eight people at the end of this post and list their names.Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving them a comment on their blogs.

So, EIGHT (8) random facts about me;

Fact One: I have a bad habit of twitching around with the edges of anything sharp(not including a knife). Yeah, its a really bad habit.

Fact Two: I hate the "good boy" or "nerd" tag that I'm getting. Its undeserved. Haha!

Fact Three: I'm a very people person and I don't know what I'll do when I'm alone most of the time.

Fact Four: I look down on myself a lot especially when I screw up or make mistakes. This includes me judging my own playing on Sunday. I tend to feel disappointed with my playing and always wanna do better.

Fact Five: I may not look like it, but I slack like crazy sometimes. I always get questions like, "How do you do so well in your exams? Any study tips?". Heck, I don't know. Stop asking me. I just pray and have a whole lot of faith that God will see me through. I do study under pressure when it requires me to do so. By the way, praying alone won't get you results. You have to do your part and work hard also.

Fact Six: I sometimes envy other people and always find myself guilty of trying too much to be like other people and losing myself in the process.

Fact Seven: I feel like a serious hypocrite a lot of the times. I contradict what I say too many times. Reminder to self: "Faith without works is dead."

Fact Eight: You just try dissing me off and see. You'll never see daylight again, I promise you. xD Nawh, I'm kidding. I have a short fuse sometimes. Still working on it.

I tag:

1) Clarissa
2) Lerida
3) Li Anne
4) Anne
5) Wy Kit
6) Whoever else wants to do it.

Never say never...

Its been a pretty busy weekend in 1 sense. Basically had lunch with Sue Ann at KFC's again on Friday before college. Yes, I'm dealing with the guilt of having KFC twice a week.

Worship practice was at usual at 4pm yesterday, but the whole thing started and ended late and I ended up rushing to pick my parents before heading off to Midvalley to catch a movie with Uncle Derrick's family as well. Will do the movie review at the end of this post.

Anyway, today HCC celebrate our 6th Anniversary! Congratulations! =D Worship was pretty good today as well. I'm back home a lil early today due to non-existant activities after church today.

Photobucket
The kids and their presentation. No picture of the youth presenting though. =S

Don't have much to update, except that I'm drowning in my stack of assignments. Finished Information System and should be handing it in this Tuesday. Presentations are coming up the following week, with the Research Skills assignment due 2 weeks from now. So its 1 week after another.

Enough ranting. Lets get to the movie review shall we?

Photobucket
The Forbidden Kingdom.

After getting some really average and below average review of the movie, I wasn't really looking forward to catching the movie. I went in with little expectation, and came out feeling it was worth the money. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, and to be honest, the action was pretty well choreographed as well. The effects were not too bad itself.

I guess since it combined Jackie Chan and Jet Li was the reason the expectations were raised. Well, I would say it was not bad, but maybe because my ticket was paid for. Haha. There were some really memorable scenes, not to mention some hilarious scenes. Liu Yi Fei who played the Golden Sparrow in the movie was certainly eye candy. I guess it was worth watching in that sense.

Verdict: 7.5/10

A line from the movie that truly caught my attention. It went something like this...

"If you live cut off from men and desire, you would never be broken. But then, would you truly have lived?"

The verse about being in the world, and not of the world just suddenly came to mind. = ) Anyway, thats a wrap from me in this post. Assignments...= /

Steady, aim, vandalize...

Listening to: Saviour King - UNITED Hillsongs

I'm so relieved, at least for the mean time. Finished my draft for part A of my assignments and its almost ready to be handed up tomorrow for approval before the final thing. 1 down, 2 more to go.

Some pictures from lunch at Old Asia Cafe today at OU.

Photobucket
Old Asia Cafe's menu. Very Oriental-like.

Photobucket
Eddie joined joined us for lunch today.

Photobucket
Eddie's lunch. Fried wantan, excluding his glasses and the menu. xD

Photobucket
Danial and Adam. This is what hunger does to its victims. Horniness...

Photobucket
Danial's and my lunch. Just the usual Dried Chicken Nasi Lemak, but yet tasty as ever.

Photobucket
Adam's Japanese fried rice.

Photobucket
Gloria and Yi Yan.

Photobucket
Gloria's Black Pepper Chicken with rice.

Photobucket
Yi Yan's Sang Har Mee.

Old Asia Cafe should pay me for marketing their restaurant. Haha! Anyway, that was about the only thing interesting. Met up later on with Xi Ying and Aaron and hanged out at McD's before dropping Xi Ying off at OU and Aaron at his place.

You're my everything...

For the most part of it, I have no idea how I came to how I am feeling now. I just know that God is good. That is reason enough for me to continue living every single day.

Reminder to self: Romans 8:28

Christ above me
Christ beside me
Christ within me

Ever guiding
Christ behind me
Christ before
Christ my love
My life, my Lord

This chorus never really spoke to me until tonight during prayer meeting. Its when I realized in the midst of me feeling like this, that He's always with me, guiding me through every circumstances, every problem, every situation, every hurt, every pain, every sadness. He collects all my tears...

Thank You Father for always being there.

Champions' League Semi-Final Update!

Liverpool 1 - Chelsea 1

As much as I hate to say it, Liverpool are indeed going into the Stamford Bridge clash next Wednesday as underdogs. Though the results was disappointing, but I somehow have the confidence that they will pull through. You'll Never Walk Alone!

Anyway, here's a video that I've caught today about Mr Maniam and his weird cock-eye habit.

Check out his eyes. I'm sitting almost directly right in front of him, he's talking to me, but he does this all the time. Even in class when he teaches, he does this. Okay, the video may not be as clear, but a lil humour for the day. xD

You're my strength for tomorrow...

Listening to: Hosanna - Hillsongs UNITED

Back from a very very busy period. Okay, I'm kidding. My stress level has reached my neck, and I'm starting to feel really pressured, and at times, really weak and helpless to do anything to change the present situation. Then again, its times like this that test how much I depend on Him and whether I can fully trust Him to bring me through this. He's the only One who can bring me through this.

So, I'll update a lil. Sunday was fine as usual, with a lil bit of a last minute plan that crept up. Received a phone call from Adam while I was out with the family at SS2 for dinner, and was invited to join him and Gloria to meet Danial up at Starbucks for assignment purposes. It came at the right time as I was feeling the usual feeling of, "What am I gonna do tonight?"

Hence, Adam came to pick me up, and off we headed to Starbucks to apparently do assignment. I ended up playing with cards with Eddie(Danial's bro) and Nadia(Danial's significant other). Some pictures to 'lighten' up the blog once in a while.

Photobucket
You'd think they were studying. I know Adam wasn't.

Photobucket
Caffe Latte anyone?

Photobucket
A night of poker, coffee, and cigarettes. I don't smoke, mind you.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Reached back at about 12am before turning in for the night. Then came Monday blues. Started the morning with Financial Accountings, and we continued on creating the stupid prototype for Microsoft Access, which is by far the toughest assignment I've came acrossed. Trust me, this is the first time I'm left hanging without a clue what to do, with my A grade hanging in the balance. I shall complain not, but pray and leave it in His hands.

Photobucket
The epitome of stress and gluttony.

Photobucket
Meet Adam, my friend. *ahem* Correction! My bestie! xD He has this illusion that he's a supermodel. Hence the pose.

Photobucket
Forgive my moment of endulgence. Most of all, forgive him for his moment of ignorance. xD

Today was highlighted with more assignments. Life at its best. Indeed... Anyway, to say the least, I was rushing throughout the entire day. Rushed to college because I left house late. Rushed through lunch because the girls had to run some errands. Rushed home to fetch Andrew to tuition after lecturer kept us in class late, to find out that someone else had already fetched him to tuition.

And yet Adam continues to points out how much I love to speed. Its not by choice, but simply by circumstances. Or maybe not...

Photobucket
Today's lunch. Sinful, no?

Supposed to be doing my research proposal, but I have no idea at all on the format of doing my literature review. Guess its off to see Mr Chandran again tomorrow.

Shall I rant a bit? Maybe I shall. You are welcomed to skip this part of my post. I warned you. Read at your own risk. = /

Perhaps the definition of 'friends' have been misused to frequently, or I've misunderstood the term and miscalculated it disastrously. I wonder if I'm getting more choosy, or I'm just plain ludicrous at being a friend.

Maybe I've never felt so disgusted and annoyed before, but really, I do not have a hard time to forgive. Its just that its time to grow up and start acting like your age. I'm not giving in, cause if I do, you won't learn your lesson.

The road ends here.

Is to realize two out of three ain't bad...

Listening to: I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off - Fall Out Boy

Photobucket
Sunrise at 7.30am. Awesome stuff...

At the end of the weekend, as I stand on the threshold of yet another week. Anyway, the weekend's been pretty fine. Not the best weekend in the world, but still thankful for every single day that I wake up with the sunlight in my eyes.

A small miracle really helped in the form of my assignment. My previous post was about my Research Skills lecturer who gave me a topic without a literature review for my proposal, but thank God, on Friday, he found me an article that had to do with my topic, and thus I am now able to continue on with my assignment, which I've yet to finish.

Probably gotta start something tonight, and then hopefully finish off all 3 of the assignments by this week. Stress, but I'll do it. Today's message by Bro Rodney had a portion of scripture on 1 Corinthians 10:13 easily says that God will not let us be tempted or pushed beyond what we can handle, and with every challenge, He will make a way out. Very timely indeed.

Photobucket
I guess its becoming a hobby for him to sleep in class.

Been pretty disorientated and discouraged with what's been going on, and the tendency for me to give up is so strong. I've never felt so strong to just drop everything and walk away. Disappointments and frustrations have definitely got the better of me this time, but God's grace is keeping me there. Still hanging on for dear life...

Hopefully, changes will come soon. Life seems so tiring...

I'd cut you open like a banana...

I'm so not very happy right now. My assignments are not completed, I'm feeling extremely lazy, and trust me, I have valid reason to do so. I can't seem to find any literature review on "The prospect of investing in high end property for young professionals." I'm so very agitated.

Mr Gideon's a knucklehead. Already he's put a 35% wager on the literature review, which shouldn't be that important for the proposal. The fact that he's a sarcastic moron, changed my topic at least 5 times, causing me to have extremely little time before the dateline. Here's the worst part.

He then gave me a topic which he so readily approves, and heck, there's no damn literature review for it whatsoever. How on earth am I gonna find anything useful to use as my literature review. Gideon's a *Censored for the sake of the possibility of underaged readers* knucklehead. And I dare not say any further for fear of saying things I might regret later.

I have a Management Accounting lecturer who laughs at his own lame jokes(I'm not sure if you can even call them jokes), smiles pervertly at everyone possible, and stares at the ceiling when he lectures, or stares at the far end of the wall at goodness knows who.

I have an Information Systems lecturer who couldn't be bothered if you pay attention or not. Heck, you can even bring your laptop and use it in his lecture and he won't care. A classic line from yours truly; "I bet if I threw my shoe at his face, he would continue teaching."

Why I'm complaining when I'm not supposed to? I don't know.

Give thanks Matt. Give thanks...

Gah, so extremely stressed up, annoyed, disappointed, etc. Fill in the blanks.

Photobucket
Shadows of the past...

Nah, no more! xD I feel extremely free. Haha, I've just found out recently, and I honestly can't be bothered to care anymore either. Ah, maybe this is the feeling that I've been looking for. College today was spoiled by very insensitive friends, but forgiveness is essential. Easier said than done however. Football was pretty good, considering how long its been since I last played on a field.

Chocolate chip cookies orgasm! Yeah, weird I know, but my mum makes awesome cookies. Oh, and most importantly, dad's back from Phillipines. Thank God for protecting him and bringing him back safely. Not to mention giving him a great trip.

I'm extremely tired from football earlier on, and I've a jogging session at 7.30am tomorrow. So much for keeping fit.

And in this crazy life,
And through this crazy times,
Its you, its you,
You make me sing,
You're every line,
You're every word,
You're everything.

You're the perfect epitome of retarded-ness....

Listening to: Everything - Michael Buble

The weekend has come to a sweet end, but then again, there's always a new day to look to every morning. Thank God for that. Lets have some updates starting from Saturday.

I headed off to Midvalley to meet up with Karmen and her friends, and we ended up walking around window shopping, before we had lunch at Paddington's House of Pancakes.

Photobucket
Check this out. Notice the error? Hahaha!

Photobucket
My lunch. It was some pancake thingy, with bacon, as well as hashbrowns. Pretty good, especially with the sauce.

Photobucket
What's left of Karmen's lunch. xD

Photobucket
Sheryl's nachos. This was supposed to be a kids' meal. So much for a kid? You tell me. There were 6 of us, and we couldn't even finish it.

Photobucket
Sheryl and Matt. She pulled me into the picture, literally. Lil Ms. Random.

After lunch, fetched Sheryl back, then headed off back home to pick Andrew for worship practice. After which we went off to Brandon's grandfather's place fo have dinner, and we went for the highlight of the day.

Photobucket
Organized by Youth Alpha. Look at what it says! An evening of worship with PLANETSHAKERS @ FGA!

It was my first time seeing them as I had missed all the conferences before, and I was really excited to go for the concert. Started at 8pm, but we were there by 7.10pm and already it was freaking pack, just queueing up for the line. Met up with Sheryl and the gang again, and thankfully, she knew shortcuts to the balcony and we managed to get seats. It was quite hilarious being pulled here and there without knowing where she was taking me.

Photobucket
This was at the foyer, 45 minutes earlier before the actual event started. This is not the worse of it.

Photobucket
At 7.20pm.

Photobucket
At 7.30pm. The view from the balcony. This was not even half of the actual amount of people who went. The sitting capacity was 1,500. Roughly about 2,500 people were present. So you can imagine, the whole place were packed. Everyone was sitting on the floor towards the front.

Photobucket
Claudia and Matt before it started.

Photobucket
Planetshakers in the house.

Photobucket
Blurry, but a night to remember.

Photobucket
Rev. Jamie Haith. One of the founders of Youth Alpha, if I'm not mistaken.

The praise and worship was awesome, and to worship with Planetshakers was like the highlight of the week. The presence of God was awesome, and I can't wait for their next visit to KL again. Rev Jamie Haith was extremely hilarious but yet provided the truth for all of us there, that we are indeed called to draw near to Him, follow Him, and then sent out by Him to be lights in our worlds, no matter where we are.

After that, we had more worship again with the Planetshakers band, and there were chants of "We want more" after they finished song after song. Got a drink from a nearby stall, before Aunt Pek See picked us back. Will get their latest album. Maybe I should put that on my wishlist. xD Met Sean Fabian, as well as Ian and a few old high school friends at the concert. It was good catching up with them.

Anyway, went back, had "midnight sharing" till 2am with Brandon, and then it was off to bed to prepare for today's service. Appropriately, it was about prayer and in conjunction with what Aunt Pek See was talking with me about the past night. Thank God for that. Really timely... = )

That was about it, and I'm really really dead tired. College starts again tomorrow. Bleargh...Till my next post, I bid you all a fond good night. I end my post with a self-portrait that Brandon's mirror played a part of. xD

Mirrors are my best friends. = )

Signing off,
Matt

PS: Don't try to act buddy-ish with me. The minute you crossed that line, you lost my respect. The fact that I've heard all those things about you, makes me feel even more incredibly disgusted. Just leave me the heck alone.
