A time when time didn't exist.

Infatuations Under Cherry Blossoms
Waking up to the break of dawn,
At twilight the sky seem to signal,
Life it seems begun again with a yawn,
A new day again as life unfurls.

Bouncing up almost by clockwork,
Untapped enthusiasm begun to grow,
Of sandwiches and a glass of milk,
Just to see you, that was all I know.

Days of glances thrown discreetly,
A glowing warm feeling continues to churn,
Feelings that, looking back seem silly,
Infatuations, the mystery of love yet to learn.

Growing up, innocence compromised,
The fun of growing up lost, changes bloom,
Responsibility begun to knock, intentions disguised,
It was all life, failure and doom.

Yet again, rediscovering the childhood pastime,
When building castles in the air was free,
And when joy abounded, no, not a single dime,
Looking at you, wondering what you thought of me.

Times when infatuations were allowed to be expressed,
When apparent feelings weren't just in films,
Admiring another wasn't so complicated, free access,
Infatuations under cherry blossoms.
