Finding perfection in imperfections...

In a world where even the mighty crumble,
And the most perfect plans crashes as an example,
Where time seems to be so temporary,
Dreams and hopes can only be a fantasy,
Perfection is ever so often sought after,
Everyone seems to seek to be the master.

The definition of love is so altered and twisted,
Dashing the most perfect of dreams to be busted,
When all you've ever wanted was a happy ending,
Optimism abounds and hopes ascending,
When expectations fall and disappointments materialise,
You fall so hard, almost never to pick yourself up and realise.

Yet in all this, take heart and be of brimming confidence,
Cause in the imperfections, the lesson is missed in its apparent irrelevance,
Look to the lessons learned, and turn the other side of the coin,
You'd realize that perhaps what you've been looking for is without a point,
First glance shows imperfections, a second look shows contentment,
Confident and assure, we can see imperfections as perfections and avoid resentment.

Inspired by Lerry. This is for you, sis. = )

Signing off,
Matt
