Listening to: One Thing - Hillsongs
Warning: Lengthy post ahead!
MoNdAy...
Classes ended early, and the destination chosen to have our brunch/lunch was Ikea. Conversation was taken into a deeper level all of a sudden. Was a good change.
My reply: Do you think looking at furniture all day is fun?
Bobbing lights.
Football was against BU4's school team, and sad to say we lost. However, the experience gained was irreplacable and I'm pretty downright sure that the next time we come up against them, it'll be a victory on our side. After a cup of tea, I headed back to Danial's place to freshen up and have dinner, before we headed off for a movie at Cineleisure...
The complimentary tickets to Hancock for two. Many thanks to Nuffnang for the competition. Was certainly worth the post.
The main foyer. It was packed, brimming with people. Needless to say, they were mostly nuffnangers.
After the movie, this was how empty the place was at about 11pm.
The empty streets...The Street on the other hand was bustling with activity, most of it coming from Laundry.
Its always the company that matters more than the place sometimes.
A distant and not so clear view of Segi College from Petronas.
Reached home close to 12am, and dozed off at 12.30am.
TuEsDaY...
which is today. Classes ended early, and Yan was feeling extra generous today. So off we headed to the Curve for lunch.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Unique concept. This means continuous service.
This means "Don't disturb. kthxbye."
Other related sauces (Chilly, Tomato, etc). Looks somewhat like a 'puke' bucket.
Wall deco.
More wall deco.
Check out the different sauces.
Yan and her Tropical Breeze. Thank you so much for lunch. = )
Yan and Gloria.
Their lunch. The names of the food were really beyond my memory. Anyway, this is steak. (Duh!) Came with calamari, coleslaw, and baked potato.
Medal Margarita; Tequila certainly tasted "unique" with salt.
Note to self: Cut hair!!
One of those rare moments when I did a proper smile, and Adam had to ruin it. Tsk tsk tsk!
Adam's "Captain's Fish & Chips."
My lunch. Recommended by Yan. Consisted of mash potatoes, salmon, and prawns. Certainly was the best among the lot. The sauce was heavenly. Mmm...
Anyway, came back late for class. After classes, you wouldn't believe it but Yan had the craving to eat 'rojak'. After to which we adjourned back home.
Movie Review
Hancock!
I expected more, but I guess when expectations rise, so does the potential of disappointments. It was not really how I pictured it to be, and perhaps a little under my standard. Perhaps its because I'm bias and I thought there was too little action and more of destruction scenes than anything. Certainly thought me one thing: Don't drink and drive (or in this case, fly)
Verdict: 5.5/10
Surprising, no? I was equally as surprised. By the way, the movie is very short, in my opinion. Slightly under one and a half hours?
Lesson of the day:
1. Yan's face goes really red when she goes tipsy, or at least on the verge of it. She has been appropriately named "lobster."
2. Yan cannot stand fur, Gloria cannot stand feathers. Together, they've been appropriately named "furfeathers" which is pronounced rather quickly as fur-fair-ders.
3. Gloria can run when under intense pressure, much to my amusement. Next 100m sprint world champion?
Signing off,
Matt
PS: Bah, I feel discouraged. Hahaha! That laugh was a bit oxymoron-ish? Okay, I'm losing it. Signing out.
