Heylo!
Ah, before I continue on with this post...
I AM OFFICIALLY...
...a POST GRADUATE!
Today's my first day of freedom.
Yesterday, the finals finished and boy the relief that swept over was enormous.
Anyway, "celebrated" freedom by heading all the way to Subang to play futsal.
Went out to Pyramid today again with a certain someone for a movie marathon (My first movie marathon by the way).
So yesh, today was a good day.
Freedom sorta brings about good feelings.
Liberty, as how Dan calls it is now in my hands...
This post, will be a summary of all the different movies that I've caught in the last 2 months or so.
So, here we go...
Underworld.
Yesh, I know I'm outdated. But I caught this on my laptop. Plot-wise, Underworld is pretty clear in terms of that. Action was sufficient, if you like. And, the main actress is hot hot hot. I personally think anyway...
Verdict: 6.5/10 Your average medieval classic between werewolves and vampires. Seen better, but good action scenes though.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
Okay, I'm gonna try to be as nice as I can. This movie...sucks. Okayyy, maybe exaggerated a lil, but it was a serious waste of money. Parents dragged me along to watch it though I wasn't too keen. In terms of comedy, didn't really lived up to my expectations. Almost as bad as Mr Bean, but a lil bit better.
Verdict: 5/10 Personally, comedies are judged more strictly due to the facts the jokes have to be really catchy. Seriously though, not for me.
PS: If you wanna see a fat man running around in a mall, then this is YOUR kinda show.
Yes Man.
Caught this on my laptop as well. Hmm, pretty alright I guess though again it didn't live up to my expectations. Lets just say Blades of Glory ranks among my top comedies and if you've watched that show, you know how high the expectations are.
Verdict: 6/10 A decent comedy...
The Simpsons Movie.
Caught this at a mamak with Dan and Adam. One word. LMAO! This is seriously one of the funniest shows you can watch (if you have a good command of sarcasm, sadism, and a sense of humour). Was laughing through the entire movie, and it was one joke after another. I couldn't even remember most of the jokes cause every part was hilarious.
Verdict: 8/10 I'm so gonna get the DVD for this movie. Must watch. Classic...
X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
I'm a sucker for action movies, but this was definitely worth the price paid (Student price, mind you xD). No, I mean seriously...this is a good movie. However, if you're an avid follower of the comic, this might not appeal to you simply because the storyline has been changed quite a lot from what I understand.
Verdict: 7.5/10 A good action movie filled action, love, revenge, and definitely a whole lot of slashing and violence. Two thumbs up...
As stated above...
Met up with Nicolette for my first movie marathon.
We caught these 2 movies...
Terminator Salvation.
The long awaited sequel of the Terminator series. Again, this would be a pretty decent movie to catch especially in the cinemas. Though the ratio of machines to men have decreased in this sequel, it is still pretty good with more background given. However, there's probably more sequels to come as the story has yet to be completed.
Verdict: 7.5/10 A good decent watch. Not as violent as you might perceive it to be. Thumbs up!
And our second movie...
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian.
A bit overrated in my opinion. Comparing the prequel to this movie, the storyline was somewhat predictable. Though the show had its moments, then again...lacked the depth in terms of jokes and plot.
Verdict:6/10 Just for laughs movie. Pretty straightforward...
My lovely date for the day. = )
So that would be all for now.
My eyes are shutting down.
Looking forward to church camp in Kampar on Thurs.
Will be awesome!
Till my next post, adios.
PS: Did I mention that I'm free from college? That means I'm free to go out! Time to fulfill those appointments people. xD
PSS: Picture credits to google. = )
